Its the third week of Blaugust. I think. I have not really been keeping track honestly, I don’t really care about “theme weeks” this year.
I got a new car… for work. Its not, my car, but its my car to use. Its nothing fancy but it has some “fancy stuff” I have never really used before like lane assist and Android Auto. Too bad the bass sucks on the stereo. My music sounds so weak ass. Its not the EQ either, I checked that. Its convenient, but also it has all these work rules and monitoring, which is a bit annoying. I already drive pretty defensively, so I am not super worried about it, but its still annoying that its there.
So it seems both of the major mini items companies have put out similar record player style minis essentially at the same time. Each has pluses and minuses, based on what I have read. I only have the Mini Brands one here, though I might consider the Miniverse one as well.
File under, lines I forgot existed. For a brief bit, Transformers had a line called Transformers Red, they were basically, action figure versions of characters. Without an alt mode, this allowed them to be more accurate to the cartoons. They looked alright, especially for some of the designs like Prime Knockout that don’t translate super well to actually transforming toys.
Back in the earlier days of the Raspberry Pi, there was a project going around called PiGrrl. It’s of course, a play on the name “Game Boy”. It’s essentially just a Raspberry Pi in a GameBoy like housing.
I built one back in 2021. I don’t think I ever really posted about it because beyond building it, I never really used it much. If anything this is a bit of a discouragement to anyone else looking at a similar project.
Welcome to Blaugust week 2, which conveniently just lands on these Saturday Weekly things. This one is much more akin to “normal activities” for these posts.
I’ve pretty much recovered from last week’s illness issues, the worst part of all that is not feeling like, sick sick, but still feeling lethargic and tired. Because then it’s all just, being super aware of everything you’re not doing.
Other than that not a lot of excitement. We got some quotes for replacing the roof, they were in the expected price range. I also have been contemplating some work related changes that I’m not going into here, but I’ve made a decision on the issue and it’s calmed out my anxiety about making the decision, which makes me feel pretty confident it’s the right decision.
I was almost tempted to watch an episode of the show attached to this line before writing but decided I didn’t care that much about the lore here. I barely watch Transformers cartoons and I have a ton of those. From my brief bit of research, Armorsaurs is a Disney+ show based on a Korean show called Armored Saurus, with a space. Its a sort of, Korean Sentai Henshin Hero show, Sentai Henshin Hero being shows like, Power Rangers and Kamen Rider. Normal people who power up with fancy devices into armored fighters who often also command giant robots of some kind. In this case, it seems to be giant armored dinosaurs.
