So, aside from Droid Tycoon, I have been spending some time in LEGO Fortnite. Specifically, the Odyssey mode, not Brick Life. Partly, because there are build parts and schematics to earn by playing. I actually started dabbling a bit with it again before the Star Wars drops with the Ninjago stuff from the Battlepass. Not so much because I care about Ninjago, but that pass includes 3 Airships.
In short, what I have actually been messing with, is vehicles in Lego Fortnite. Because the Madalorian quests have added some more vehicles and new mechanics with the new Hover Brick.
Kids these days (shakes fist) don’t know how much better it used to be with cereal, we got prizes, PRIZES! TOYS! Not some cracker jack nonsense… well, it kind of was the same idea, but it was better.
Also for the unaware yoots, Crack Jack used to give prizes in their little boxes of caramel popcorn. Hell they may still, I don’t eat Crack Jack, my wife is allergic to nuts, plus I can buy a whole bag of caramel corn for way cheaper. But no prizes.
Its been another mostly slow boring week. Summers coming soon though, which means the occasional part concert or other activities in the community at least. Next week is the first game for the new local baseball team. I am not super into baseball, but I kind of want to go to the first game. Maybe more will happen.
Video Games I have almoat finished the Droid-dex in Fortnite’s Droid Tycoon game. I just need a Raindbow R7. If I want to “max out” my base I need like a dozen of them. The R7 is the top slot droid for the Astromech stations. The Opti-Strike is top for Battle, I have I think, 3/5 for that. The Mono-Walker whatever its called is top for worker, I have a few, but only two Rainbow tier. But I am making up for it with Rainbow Mecha Droids, which is the next best.
Ironically, perhaps, I am not real sure what this prompt is asking for, but also, I have a huge toy collection and am pretty well suited to ramble on about toys, in general. So I am mostly just going to do that. Its not even going to be the first time I have written about collecting specifically. Plus I write about it all the time on this blog. Its one of the two core focuses.
Boy, this new Star Wars mode in Fortnite has the WORST name. Its simply “The Mandalorian and Grogu Watch Party”, which suggests its just a place to go watch a movie clip. Especially since they have had watch party events before that were mostly just “watch this movie clip”.
This thing is so much more, its basically a little event based RPG world set in Navarro.
I am not going to discuss the movie clip, its probably just part of a cold open action bit, its fun, I am… not sure it really made me excited for this movie. It feels really weird they are making this movie at all, what happened to the Rey movie? Or maybe Solo 2, that set up for a sequel.
I think I have gotten worse about it more recently, but despite that I will admit that I am hopelessly addicted to the internet and computer use, I feel like I generally do not “Doomscroll”.
Doomscrolling kind of feels like it has connotations of negativity. Like you are scrolling looking for negative. Or just scrolling like you would gawk at a car wreck. Its admittedly hard to not get caught up in it these days. There is so so much bull shit these days.
